Product Overview
There are many options for insulation with the material it’s made from and the form it comes in. Kenroc has many options for your residential and commercial needs including:
Fibreglass
Made from glass cullet and other raw materials which are melted and spun into fibres that resemble the texture of wool. It comes in batts, rolls, or loose-fill forms and is commonly used in sidewalls, attics, floors, crawl spaces, cathedral ceilings, and basements.
Stone, rock or mineral wool
Made from rock, blast furnace slag, and other raw materials which are melted and spun into fibres to resemble the texture of wool. Mineral wool comes in batts, rolls, or loose-fill forms. Like fibreglass, it is also used in sidewalls, attics, floors, crawl spaces, cathedral ceilings, and basements.
Cellulose insulation
Composed mostly of cellulose fibres usually derived from paper, paperboard stock, or wood, and made with or without binders. Loosefill or for blowing, cellulose is used in enclosed existing walls, open new walls, and unfinished attic floors.
EPS
Expanded polystyrene insulation is manufactured using beads of foam within a mould. Heat or steam is applied directly to the beads, causing them to expand and fuse together. Its lightness makes it easy to handle and install and is used to insulate floors, walls, roofs, or terraces.
XPS
Extruded polystyrene insulation is manufactured using extrusion which is a continuous process which results in a closed-cell structure with smooth skin on the top and bottom of the board. XPS’ closed-cell structure prevents water from penetrating the structure of the insulation board and provides long-term strength and durability. XPS is used under slabs, concrete floors, foundations and underground works, due to its exceptional compressive strength.
