Fire Resistance Drywall

Fire-rated gypsum board is a form of drywall that helps prevent the spread of flames across a building.

Type X drywall has a specially formulated gypsum core providing fire resistance ratings when used in tested assemblies.

Type C fire-rated drywall (sometimes referred to as Improved Type X) is similar in composition to Type X, except that it has an enhanced gypsum core that makes its fire-resistive properties superior to Type X.

Both Type X and Type C can be incorporated into assemblies with fire ratings up to 4 hours.

Kenroc has a full range of reliable drywall solutions no matter the project's size, complexity, or location.
